You keep saying “one day.” But what if one day never comes?
Let me keep it real with you…
I used to say the same thing:
“When I lose this weight…”
“When life slows down…”
“When I feel like myself again…”
And then life life’d.
I fell.
Not a metaphorical “fell.”
I mean I literally fell and couldn’t walk.
Everything stopped. I couldn’t shoot. I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t show up for my family, my business, or myself the way I was used to. I was forced to sit down and reflect—on all the times I’d put myself on the back burner. All the moments I said, “I’ll do it later,” like later was guaranteed.
Sis, let me tell you something hard that turned into something freeing:
“Later” is not promised.
And the only thing worse than not having photos of you right now…
Is not having the chance to take them at all.
That season taught me that the time is always now. You don’t need to wait for a certain size, mood, or milestone to celebrate who you are. Because the version of you right now? The tired, stretched-thin, always-putting-others-first version?
She still deserves to be seen.
Your softness deserves to be captured.
Your strength deserves to be celebrated.
Your story deserves to be told—on your terms, in your light, while you’re still here to feel it.
That’s what my shoots are about.
It’s not about perfection.
It’s about presence.
I get it. You’re busy. You’ve been through things. You’ve changed. But the woman you’ve become in the process?
She is worth remembering.
So here’s your permission slip (not that you need one):Book the damn shoot. Before “one day” becomes “I wish I had.”
Ready when you are. I’ll be here to remind you just how powerful you’ve always been.
